With Iraq bombed and the president impeached (anyway) the attention deficient media returned to Kosovo. There, meanwhile, massacre continued and verifiers (representatives of the international community placed there to verify if both sides adher to the peace agreement) got a whorehouse. Madeleine Albright used more assertive diplomatic tone and vocabulary to stress the American position on Kosovo (although she more and more reminds of somebody who talks very loud, but carries a minuscule stick). Holbroke slipped way under the radar to avoid, as a big peace-maker of today, being asked too many questions about his deal-making in the past. And, I've heard, the Congress offers a $5 mil. to a person who brings Ratko Mladic and/or Radovan Karadzic to the judge. Go for it. ivo --- # distributed via nettime-l : no commercial use without permission # <nettime> is a closed moderated mailinglist for net criticism, # collaborative text filtering and cultural politics of the nets # more info: majordomo@desk.nl and "info nettime-l" in the msg body # URL: http://www.desk.nl/~nettime/ contact: nettime-owner@desk.nl
