this is simply an example of the "way things work" -- when some deployment
of the techno-social system prescribes a pathway between itself and the
User which the User submits their life-time to, that particular deployment
taps into that flow of (attentive) energy unto itself -- growing great in
its own eyes and the eyes of the multitudes who 'pay' attention to it...
